Sustainable Procurement

The U.S. Government is the largest purchasing body on earth. In the 2018 Farm Bill, our government reaffirmed to the world their commitment to sustainable purchasing and U.S. manufacturing by implementing biopreferred procedures. The U.S. Government will purchase sustainable products over synthetic at any possible opportunity.

Government Mandate

Originally implemented in the 2002 Farm Bill, and reaffirmed in the 2018 Farm Bill, biopreferred purchasing is a sign to the world that America will lead the way in renewable and sustainable practices.

Heartland exceeds all existing mandates for hemp-based products and will bring back safe & scalable American Manufacturing. Learn More about Government Mandated Purchasing at Biopreferred.gov.

Vision of the Future

The U.S. Government believes in a future where manufacturing can return to America, and our reliance on foreign production can be as limited as possible.

Heartland will be producing hemp-based products that exceed any environmental mandate, and provide stronger, lighter & cheaper alternatives to existing synthetic standards.

Carbon Sequestration

Hemp sequesters 1.62 tons of carbon for every 1 ton of hemp. This means that at full capacity (60,000 pounds of hemp per hour), Heartland Industries will remove over 2,000,000 pounds of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere each day.

As we expand past our flagship facility, our ability to sequester carbon from the atmosphere will increase by orders of magnitude.
